Shears Evolve And Make Life Easier

Look Younger - Beauty & Style

Scissors as we all know is a object designed to cut hair, by sliding 2 pieces of sharp flat metal against each other. They have been used to cut more flimsy objects like textile or paper. Basically scissors are used for its speed and precision

Shears generally describe a scissor that is larger in size. Basically a scissor that is longer than 6 inches are called shears. The earliest use of scissors was recorded in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Those early scissors were a designed by connecting apair of flat bronze plates by bending the handle which gave it a spring action when used.

So when you squeezed the handle it brought the blades together and when you released them it would go back to its original form. But the scissors as we know today was started in ancient Rome and china. Despite that, the earlier mentioned spring scissor was used in Europe up until the 16th century.

Both scissors and shears have shared the same name but sheers as mentioned before are bigger form of the scissor.Therefor sheers are more useful for cutting thicker objects. There are the industrial varieties of sheers which are attached to a table or stool that can be operated using a lever, generally used for metal plate cutting.

The ordinary scissors again went through a transformation when the thinning shear was invented. This type of scissor has two combs like plates that have sharp edges and when it cuts the hair it does not take a lot of hair in the way regular scissors do. So it is generally used after the hair cut to help thin very thick and unruly hair and give it a layered look.
