The Seiko Corporation developed their very first pioneering quartz product named as Astron in the year 1969. The price tag for this product was equal to that of an average sized automobile. The year 1973 was marked as the production year for the Seiko Corporation as the company went in full swing in manufacturing various kinds of watches, which were considered to be the ambassadors of technical advancement. Seiko Corporation also produced the first ever, one of its kinds, 6 digit LCD quartz watch.
